I’m Gohar, a bilingual English-Farsi teacher and interpreter. I've been creating engaging language courses and providing educational counseling to learners and teachers since 2008, across Iran, Australia, and online platforms.
I hold an MA in English Translation Studies and have gained extensive experience as a freelance translator, technical editor, and interpreter. My work spans a variety of publication mediums and topics, including news, legal, STEM, commerce, education, localization, and multimedia. This diverse background has equipped me with the skills to design English for Specific Purposes (ESP) courses for multiple careers. In fact, my journey into teaching business English began with one of my commerce interpreting clients!
To further enhance my skills, I have completed several professional development courses, including an Australian TESOL Cert. IV and an official TPSOL for teaching Persian. After relocating to Melbourne in 2013, I focused on IELTS preparation, ESP, and providing education and career consultations for immigrant families and applied linguistics professionals. This international experience has allowed me to develop interactive, project-based language courses tailored to diverse learners.
Currently, I freelance, host Wednesday Webinars for learners and educators, lead localization projects, and teach "Farsi, ESP, Copy Writing for Educators, and IELTS preparation courses online".
